1980s Abbot's Parlour; Previously known as Abbey Gate Restaurant.

1844 Tythe No 372 house and yard owned by William Carnell woollen draper

Late C18 painted brick to late medieval timber-frame building with some rubble. 2 storeys. Hipped pantile roof. Parapet coping. 4 windows. Keyblocks. Fixed lights, glazing bars. Modern shop-fronts. Interior retains much of its original timber-work, a pointed arch with abbatial arms, 4-centred fireplace etc. Said to be originally part of the Abbey School.
